• °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵTechnology Services has been working closely with Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) staff and is pleased to announce compatibility of their Respondus Lockdown Browser with °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵChromebooks. For students to take CPCC tests on a °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵChromebook, the CPCC Respondus Lockdown Browser app can be installed using the steps below:

    1. Open the Chrome Web Store ().
    2. Visit the Recommended for °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵUsers tab.
    3. Choose LockDown Browser.
    4. Click Add to Chrome.
    5. Launch the test created by CPCC.

CPCC also offers the alternative testing options below:

    1. Students can use the CPCC cloud gateway desktop (Citrix) on a personal computer
      1. The student will need to use their Central Piedmont username and password and the Citrix Workspace application. The server URL is cloudgw.cpcc.edu. Once they sign in, the student should see the General Use desktop. That desktop has the Respondus Lockdown browser on it which is a special version of the application Respondus provided that will work in VDI. However, the monitor option will not work in VDI if the instructor is requesting that the test takers are proctored via webcam. The student must also lock the VM in to full screen mode and cannot minimize the Workspace application while taking the exam. They must log out of the VM once complete and never navigate away from the VM.
    2. Students can check out a Central Piedmont device for their test (via the library)
    3. Students can use one of the preconfigured lab computers that are available at CPCC
