Hi Families! I am elated to join the amazing Endhaven community. Endhaven is our neighborhood school and we were lucky to send our son to Endhaven for first through fifth grade. He had incredible teachers who cared for him each and every step of his way along his journey of elementary school. Endhaven has always held a special place in my heart from our years here as a family.

I have a variety of experiences spanning nearly two decades in education, all in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. I began my teaching career by moving to Charlotte from a small town in Michigan in 2006 to be a first grade teacher at Smithfield Elementary for two years. I then spent three years teaching second grade at Sedgefield Elementary. After this I  spent seven years at Montclaire Elementary and had several roles: first grade teacher, literacy teacher, and third grade Senior Reach Teacher. I then moved to Sterling Elementary as a Master Reach Teacher, Interim Literacy Facilitator, and MCL, teaching first grade and instructional coaching in kindergarten through second grade over four years. I also had the opportunity to serve in the Beginning Teacher Development and Support as a Professional Learning Specialist, providing professional development and instructional coaching across grade levels kindergarten-12th grade. All of these experiences have shaped me into the educator I am today, and I am forever grateful for each and every one.

I graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Language Arts Grades 6-9 from Saginaw Valley State University. In 2009 I completed my Master’s Degree in Reading K-12 from Queens University. I am also licensed in English as a Second Language K-12. In 2018 I continued my leadership journey and began the Queens University School Executive Leadership Academy (SELA) program to earn my North Carolina Principal Licensure in 2020.

My husband Charley and I live in South Charlotte and have a fourteen-year-old son Anthony, who is a rising 8th grader in CMS. We also have two Shih Tzus, Lulu and Kyle. We enjoy spending time watching Anthony as he embraces his love of baseball.

Education has always been a calling for me, and I am overjoyed to continue this calling at Endhaven!
